Nalco has had a presence in China since the early 1980s, but on June 28, 1995 Nalco joined forces with CITIC Chemical Company of the Peoples Republic of China to establish the main office in China. Located in the city of Suzhou, the 15,855 square meter space is home to corporate offices, a production plant, warehouses, and a research and design center. Nalco has been able to offer several solutions to industry issues in China ranging from scale treatment to corrosion and pollution in cooling water for boiler systems. Flagship programs including TRASAR, N-COMPAS, and PORTA-FEED have been able to establish Nalco, as an industry leader is this country of more than one billion people.
